The Odyssey: An Epic Field Trip
(A Theatre Jacksonville original script)
Synopsis!
Otis and his classmates are on a school field trip to a history museum in order to have a hands-on approach to learning about Homer’s The Odyssey. A small lapse in judgement lands Otis in an ancient world with some vaguely familiar faces. Finding himself on the path of Odysseus, Otis meets gods, goddesses, mythic monsters, witches, and blind prophets all in an attempt to just get home. The only trouble is he doesn’t believe himself to be the hero he has to portray. Will he learn to find the hero that lives in all of us?
Performances!
May 10 at 7pm and May 11 at 2pm. Tickets will be $10.
