Noelle Jaycox (Suzie Tyrone) is thrilled to be in her first show at Theatre Jax! Noelle has worked backstage on other T.J. productions including Enchanted April (Assistant Stage Manager) and performed in many of Stanton College Prep's musicals: How to Succeed..., Urinetown, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ms. Dorothy), and Footloose (Ariel), all under the direction of Mrs. Sacks. Last summer Noelle performed in her first professional show: Chancey Production's The Rocky Horror Show Live! It was a very rewarding experience. Noelle looks forward to sharing an equally rewarding experience with the cast of The Ruby Sunrise! Enjoy!

Miranda Lawson (Ruby/Elizabeth Hunter) is thrilled to be back on the Theatre Jax stage after a short hiatus that was spent at Players by the Sea doing the last 5, consecutive shows. The last time she performed on the TJ stage she played a Catholic school girl in Over the Tavern, who was extremely excited about boys, and more excited about twinkies, which earned her a Theatre Jax best supporting actress nomination. She was also seen in Seussical The Musical as a flashy Bird Girl. She couldn’t wait for the opportunity to perform The Ruby Sunrise after seeing it in New York at the Public Theatre. Miranda received her BFA in musical theatre from Jacksonville University and is planning to use it for good in NYC. She loves working under the direction of Shirley Sacks who has directed some of her favorite shows, including; Bat Boy (Shelley) for which she won a Pelican award, Accidental Felon, and Seussical. Some of her favorite roles include; Marta in Company (JU), Effie u/s in Dreamgirls (Alhambra), Portia in Julius X and Mary Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life (PBTS), which also starred Joey Walz. She is so excited to work with Joey again. “Oh George!” She would like to thank the cast, whom she has grown to love on and off stage. She would like to thank Shirley for this amazing opportunity. She would like to thank her Mother, who is her constant support in everything she does. And Ashley because she likes scary things.

Roger Lowe (Martin Marcus) Studied Drama at Butler University. After graduation he made a good living in the Midwest at such theaters as: the Actors theater of Louisville; the Municipal Opera of St Louis; the Kenney Players of Dayton; and the Indiana Repertory Theater. Chicago was especially kind to him, where he worked at the Goodman, The Drury Lane, The Shubert (now the LaSalle Bank theater), The Arie Crown and any other theater that would cast him. Somewhere in there he went insane and became a dentist, It’s a long story. His practice is now in Crescent City and he lives in Atlantic Beach. In October he was a guest performer at Jacksonville University in their production of George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House as Copt. Shotover. At PBTS he was Ravenswal in Wrong Turn at Lungfish in November, and played the father in All the Way Home. He also managed to squeeze in a Performance at the Limelight Theater for the Classic Theater Company during July as Mathew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind. He was in two shows at TJ last season, Leading Ladies and Enchanted April. It was a busy year and a lot of fun. He has been an active participant and supporter of Theater Jacksonville and of Players-By –the-Sea. He is an honorary lifetime member and current president of PBTS. TJ; however, has a special place in his heart. Thanks to Sarah Boone, the staff at TJ, and especially Shirley Sacks.

Chaz Miller (Camaraman) Chaz is a sophomore at First Coast High School. He just finished playing Baptista in William Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" and has won honors in the Publicity and Monologue categories at the 2007 District Thespian Festival. He would like to thank his parents for all of their support and his Drama director Raines Carr for his inspiration. He is planning on continuing his Theatre Education at the College Level and as a career choice.

Márcia Morgan-Cook (Lois/Ethel) is an award-winning actress who has had principal roles in The Dining Room, The Heidi Chronicles, and Six Degrees of Separation, to name just a few. She received rave reviews for her performances in Look Homeward, Angel!, The Women, and Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean. Márcia’s musical theatre credits include South Pacific, Company, The Fantasticks!, and Mame. Among her directing credits are West Side Story, I Never Sang for My Father, and Bad Habits. Other professional credits include commercials and voice-overs. Classically trained in piano and voice, she has performed as a soloist with symphonies and chamber ensembles in productions that include Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, and Poulenc’s Gloria.

Tracy Olin (Lulu) is so happy to return once more to the Theatre Jacksonville stage after venturing out to Players by the Sea for several productions. This has been a very busy year for Tracy, she was very honored to have received both the Theatre Jacksonville Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Meg in Leading Ladies and the Best Supporting Actress (Studio) Pelican Award for SubUrbia at Players by the Sea. Tracy has also been seen recently as Mayor Maggie in Batboy; the Musical and as the incomparable Sally Bowles in Cabaret – which was a dream come true for her. Other favorite roles include Of Mice and Men (Curley’s Wife), Chicago (Matron), Twelfth Night (Maria), Macbeth (Witch 2) – Best Supporting Actress, Once Upon a Mattress (Queen Aggravain) – Best Supporting Actress, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Candy Star), The Pajama Game (Poopsie), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Angel) – Best Supporting Actress. Special thanks to her amazing husband, Sean; her favorite director, Shirley; and to this very talented cast and crew – especially Josh “who makes my job easy.”

Jessica Palombo (Make-up Girl) is pleased to be a part of another Theatre Jax production after recently appearing in Dearly Departed (Joy of Life Singer) and A Shayna Maidel (Rose Weiss) before that. Favorite roles at the Orange Park Community Theatre include The Fantasticks (The Mute), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Philia), and The Mikado (ensemble). Jessica is a senior at UF and an editor at The Gainesville Sun newspaper.

Josh Waller (Tad Rose) is so happy to be joining this amazing cast and crew in such a beautiful show!! He was most recently seen on Theatre Jacksonville's stage in the annual cabaret benefit Happily Red. Prior to that, Josh won acclaim playing the Emcee in Cabaret at Players by the Sea. Last year, Josh won Theatre Jax's Best Actor award for his portrayal of Leo Clark in Leading Ladies, as well as winning Players by the Sea's Best Actor Pelican award for Batboy in Batboy the Musical (both directed by the amazing Shirley Sacks). Some of his other favorite roles include Sir Andrew in Twelfth Night (TJ), Prince Dauntless in Once Upon a Mattress (TJ), Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance (Players) and Jinx in Forever Plaid (The Limelight Theatre. Josh would like to thank Shirley for "always trusting me and pushing me to be a better performer and person" and to Tracy for "being the best acting partner I could ask for."

Joseph Walz (Henry/Paul) is excited to be back on the Theatre Jax stage after making his debut in Dearly Departed as Clyde the mechanic and as a Joy of Life Singer. Recently, you may have seen him at Players by the Sea in It’s a Wonderful Life (George Bailey) or the Orange Park Community Theatre in R&H’s Cinderella (Prince), State Fair (Pat Gilbert), The Fantasticks (Hucklebee), A Funny Thing... Forum (Pseudolus), Monky Business (Brother Forte), or Gypsy (Tulsa). Joseph has also had roles at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre in Damn Yankees and The Music Man and at Orange Park High School in Grease (Kenickie), Neil Simon’s Rumors (Ernie), Once Upon a Mattress (Prince Dauntless), and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown). Also at OPHS, while teaching, “Mr. Walz” directed Fiddler on the Roof and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). He has also performed in various independent films and with the Murder Mystery Players dinner-theatre productions at Dave & Buster’s. Joseph was recently sworn in as a member of the Florida Bar after graduating from UF Law School. He would like to thank Shirley for letting him be a part of this terrific production, his family for their love and support, and Jessica for being awesome.

Shirley Sacks (Director) returns to Theatre Jacksonville after appearing as wacky artist Miriam in Moon over the Brewery. Prior to that she portrayed Sheila in The Boys Next Door and received TJ’s Best Supporting Actress Award. Favorite performances include Assasins (Squeaky Fromme) Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Columbia) Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene) and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey). Having directed more than 35 shows, some credits include One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Urinetown, Bat Boy the musical, Leading Ladies, Footloose and everybody’s favorite, Seussical. When not here, she is home with husband David, (her favorite playwright) and their three wonderful children, Sam (third year acting student at CALARTS in Los Angeles), Nick (8th grade drama major at the Lavilla School of the Arts) and Katie (5th grade anchor for the morning news at Hendricks Avenue Elementary school). Her other favorite role is “Drama Mama” to her incredible theatre students at Stanton College Preparatory School. This summer she will be directing Damn Yankees for the FCCJ Summer Musical Theatre Experience. It is always a pleasure to direct at TJ, a place she considers her second home.”

TJ Kline (Assistant Director) TJ is excited about returning to Theatre Jacksonville after assistant directing Leading Ladies last season with Shirley Sacks. He has enjoyed working with these talented artists, all of whom have helped him grow as a director. He graduated from Stanton College Prep class of 2007 where he had the privilege of studying under Shirley Sacks. While there he competed in District Thespian festivals, participated in Student Directed Scenes, had technical theatre training and was a member of the International Thespian Society. Currently, TJ is attending F.C.C.J. and will be transferring to Flagler College next year where he plans to play baseball while majoring in broadcast communications, with a minor in theater. His love for volunteering extends past the theater. he is an officer in the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corps, which he joined in the summer class of 2006, an organization that has been safeguarding Jacksonville’s beaches since 1912. TJ would like to thank this talented cast and crew for making this an enjoyable experience; also “BIG thanks to my Mom and Noni!”
